The lasting effect

is an author, newspaper reporter, columnist and Creative Writing teacher in Mason City, Iowa, who has conducted the North Iowa Writers Workshop for 24 years. He is the author of 14 non-fiction books and has twice been a featured speaker at the National Writers Workshop.
